There are certain products you can use to get smoother skin. Things like body butter and body oil will undoubtedly give you more moisturized skin, but it’s not just what you use but how you use it that can truly help you have your smoothest skin possible. First let's start with the basics.
For smoother, more moisturized skin, exfoliating is a crucial step that shouldn't be skipped. By eliminating dead skin or dry flaky skin, you can encourage cell turnover and make way for new skin before you put on your moisturizer. On the legs especially, it can also help to free ingrown hairs to provide a closer shave. There are numerous skin benefits of using a salt scrub in particular which make it the perfect exfoliant.

The Best Way to Exfoliate and Moisturize
Now that you know the best ingredients to use for smoother skin, let's talk about the best ways to use these products. While a salt scrub is perfect for exfoliating skin, for example, you don't need to use one every single day. Exfoliating 2-3 times a week is just the right amount, and even once a week can be sufficient with a good salt scrub.
How often you use a body scrub is just as important as the application. Contrary to popular belief, you should apply the scrub directly onto dry skin for maximum exfoliation and to help the oil penetrate the layers of skin, carrying with it all of the benefits from the botanical ingredients.
Also contrary to popular belief, you shouldn't pat your skin dry before your apply the body oil. For optimum absorption and moisture retention, apply your body oil to warm wet skin.
