Krisztina's Beauty Edit: June Edition

I'm excited to share my monthly beauty and wellness picks with you guys. I know the world is hurting, and I know that in the beauty community we are concerned and committed to doing what's right as we go forward. Though as stressful as things have been, both publicly and privately, I have to take a moment to celebrate. My biggest health struggle over the last few years is FINALLY getting much easier. Nearly every step of the way was frustrating, discouraging, and painful; but sometimes all you need is one person in your corner to make all the difference, and luckily I've had that.

I'm looking forward to adding more content from here on, knowing that I don't have to worry all the time about whether or not I can physically handle it. That being said, let's get into some wonderful products that I've been meaning to review since before the pandemic. The timing worked out well after all, because these are perfect for Summer. (Disclosure: These products were provided complimentary for testing purposes. All opinions are my own.)

A must-have in my summer beauty routine is a good foot cream. A recent fave of mine is the Apothekerry Foot Fixer made with rich moisturizing ingredients like cocoa butter, aloe, Vitamin E, and Oat Oil. This rich cream also incorporates skin-conditioning peppermint and eucalyptus oil. For best results, start with and effective exfoliator, like the Apothekerry Tea Tree Peppermint Scrub. This softening and nourishing scrub combines dead sea salt with rich mango and shea butter, tea tree and peppermint oil, and a variety of other all-natural ingredients.

When it comes to facial care, I've been testing several different products from from Christina Moss Naturals. I'm loving their unscented Organic Facial Moisturizer and their unscented Organic Eye Cream. They're both rich and moisturizing with some of my favorite anti-aging ingredients such as aloe, sodium hyaluronate, Vitamin C, and various citrus fruit extracts. While the consistency of both products are thick and creamy upon application, they quickly absorb into the skin and leave no oily residue..

The hot Summer weather also has a negative effect on my hair. It tends to be more dry and dull this time of year, so I try to use products that will add some moisture and shine. The Pharmacopia Citrus Shampoo and Citrus Conditioner contain ingredients like aloe, coconut oil, shea butter and olive oil for more sleek and manageable hair. The uplifting citrus scent comprised of organic orange, bergamot, and grapefruit essential oils makes me want to try everything in the Pharmacopia Citrus Collection.

During summertime, the excess humidity here in Oklahoma requires a very specific combination of styling products to tame my frizz. I have it down to a science and will happily share my tips in a separate blog dedicated solely to my hair care routine. While you can follow the routine with any number of brands, it does help to spend a little extra on your hair care. I've been testing several new styling products this month, and they're well worth the splurge! The R + Co Waterfall Moisture + Shine Lotion makes my hair so soft without weighing it down, while the R + Co Mannequin Styling Paste eliminates frizz and defines my natural curls without any heavy or sticky residue.

Makeup is another beauty product I like to switch up with the changing seasons. This summer I'm all about golden shimmer and bright peachy tones. The True + Luscious Lucky Glow Bronze and Highlight Palette (pictured below) combines both of those things with soft warm browns for a natural contour and bronzing effect. It's such a versatile summer palette, with shades you can mix and match and use on both your face and eyelids. To diminish fine lines for a smoother application, I'm loving the True + Luscious Flowerdose Lip & Eye Serum. It instantly hydrates and plumps, and I love that it's gentle and fragrance-free.

In these stressful times, a ritualistic skincare regimen is one of my favorite ways to practice mindful self care at the end of the work day. To get the most out of it, I love to incorporate skincare that offers aromatherapy as part of their formulations. At Apothecary Company, they not only offer unique botanical blends but crystal-infused products as well. I've already had the pleasure of trying a few things from their aromatherapy collection; like the New Moon Manifesting Mist and the Unicorn Magic Shielding Elixir. I'm excited to try some of their new skincare products this month!

Another relaxing part of my evening self-care routine always includes some kind of luxurious body oil. The Well + Joy Neroli Spray-On Body Moisturizer provides rich hydration in a lightweight formula and an easy mess-free application. After my facial care and body care routine (and far too much Netflix), I love to end the day with an aromatic mist on my pillow while I do some deep breathing and meditation. The Well + Joy Peace Love & Fireflies dream sleep formula is one of my favorites. I find this light earthy scent to be both relaxing and grounding. You can get these for your own self care ritual in this Well + Joy Spa Kit, which also comes with samples of their all-natural holistic facial care.
