My Skincare Routine with Apothecary Company

I've previously tried some of the Apothecary Company's aromatherapy products plus two facial masks, and I really liked each one. When they announced the expansion of their all-natural skincare line, I just knew it was going to be impressive, and I was more than happy to try some of it! They kindly sent over a facial care regimen tailored to my combination skin and to address my specific concerns like aging skin, dullness, and uneven skin tone. I used to use harsh cleansers on my oily skin, but nowadays I know better! Using a cleanser with the right ingredients to gently treat blemishes without stripping the skin is the best way to keep my skin clear and balanced. The Apothecary Company Sugar Maple + Aloe Leaf Gentle Cleansing Milk is incredibly gentle, made with aloe, which soothes and hydrates but is also great for fighting surface acne. The natural AHA’s in sugar maple along with lavender and chamomile also calm inflammation; while the skincare benefits of goat milk include boosting moisture levels, soothing irritation, and repairing the skin’s barrier. This Gentle Cleansing Milk is the perfect gentle cleanser for dry to combination skin.

Perhaps my favorite new addition to the Apothecary Company skincare line is their AHA + Pumpkin Enzyme Exfoliating Antioxidant Mask. First and most importantly, it does smell like pumpkin...like sweet pumpkin pie filling to be exact. I don’t know about you guys, but whenever I get a new pumpkin face mask, and it turns out that it smells nothing like real pumpkin, it kind of ruins the whole experience for me. As far as performance goes, this pumpkin mask also beats out the competition in my opinion. Gentle yet effective at exfoliating, this mask gave my skin an instant glow after just one use. It’s such an effective all-natural detoxifying, exfoliating, brightening, and nourishing facial mask.

After the gentle cleanser and pumpkin mask, I’ve been using the Apothecary Company Rosehip + Willow Bark Vitamin C Facial Serum. Made with rich rosehip seed oil, sunflower seed oil, and neem seed oil; the texture is surprisingly light. It almost has the feel of a water-based serum or lightweight lotion that can layer well underneath a moisturizer. Though it adds a nice amount of hydration and moisture itself. In the evening when I need to wash my face but am not quite ready for my face oil and rose quartz roller routine, all I need is some of this serum after I cleanse to keep my skin hydrated until I’m ready to complete my skincare routine. Whether you’re looking for a gentle plant-based C serum, a lightweight and soothing moisturizer, or an antioxidant-rich serum to give you that glow; this versatile little powerhouse is definitely one to try!

Last but not least, because a face oil is my favorite part in any skincare routine, is the Apothecary Company Rosehip + Calendula Facial Glow Oil. It hosts a powerful blend of organic oils like argan, Jojoba, and rosehip seed oil combined with soothing calendula to deeply hydrate and moisturize sensitive skin. While it’s wonderful on dry skin, this fast-absorbing formula worked very well on my combination/oily skin too. It addresses several different concerns, including aging skin. Rosehip seed oil itself is a great natural retinol alternative, as it helps to both exfoliate and boost collagen. When combined with so many nourishing and moisturizing ingredients, it makes this Glow Oil an all-in-one favorite that would benefit any skin type at any age.

I think what I love most about the Apothecary Company skincare is how each product addresses multiple skincare needs, and it does so gently and effectively. It really takes the guesswork out of skincare and provides all-natural alternatives to all of the trendy active ingredients that are necessary for healthier, clearer, and younger looking skin.
