The Beauty Edit - April Beauty Faves

Updated: May 9, 2019

Welcome to a brand new beauty edit! I've tried so many wonderful beauty products this month. From an effective all-natural eczema lotion to a hemp-infused skincare line and an organic revitalizing hair oil, I got to try several high-performing products that address specific needs.

Including body care and hair care, I tried quite a few products from L'BRI PURE n' NATURAL, one of my all-time favorite beauty brands. This favorite brand of mine includes one of my favorite hair care lines. Their Aloe Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner always leaves my frizzy hair more sleek and manageable, and I love the fresh clean scent. Made with aloe and botanicals; it nourishes, hydrates, and strengthens hair. Paraben and sulfate-free, the L'BRI shampoo and conditioner are suitable for all hair types and are safe on color-treated hair. I do appreciate that this shampoo and conditioner are both very gentle on my sensitive scalp.

While I had tried the L'BRI shampoo and conditioner previously, it was my first time to use the Hair Repair Masque Deep Conditioning Treatment. It's made with moisturizing aloe and shea butter as well as rejuvenating herbs and botanicals to hydrate and revive damaged hair. This rich hair mask also contains natural oils that nourish and address multiple hair concerns.

For example, the hair care benefits of jojoba oil include a more moisturized and nourished scalp, which lead to stronger and thicker hair. The addition of argan oil in this hair conditioning treatment helps to hydrate and soften strands. The hair care benefits of argan oil are due to its concentration of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fatty acids. High in Vitamin E, the argan oil in the Hair Repair Mask not only helps to repair but to protect the hair against future damage. A combination of grapefruit, orange, and tangerine oils give it a wonderfully sweet citrus scent!

Just like the L'BRI shampoo and conditioner, their deep conditioner made my hair more sleek and manageable. I love to use it at least once a week to give my hair some extra love and a whole lot of moisture. Though it's convenient to use everyday as well. You simply apply it in the shower, and you only have to leave it in for five to ten minutes before rinsing. You can purchase these individually or as a set. Get all three in the Ultimate Hair Care Collection, which comes in a L'BRI gift bag. If you host a L'BRI show in May, you could qualify to receive this hair care set for free!

For nourishing the scalp, I've been using the Revitalizing Organic Hair Oil by Loving Culture. It contains both coconut and apricot oil for moisture, and it also contains castor oil to help with hair growth and to help repair and balance the scalp. The antioxidants in castor oil also support keratin in hair, which helps make the hair stronger and more sleek. The addition of cinnamon and cayenne extract further help to stimulate the scalp and aid in promoting hair growth. I love that a great hair oil like this can be used as a scalp treatment as well as a leave-in conditioning and shine treatment on the hair.

Since using the organic hair oil this month, I've noticed my hair being fuller and more soft and sleek.

In facial care, I was so impressed with the Face It All Naturally Kit by Oh It's Natural. Each of the products in this set are so gentle. If you struggle with sensitive and/or dry skin, you'll definitely want to try this skincare line! My favorite product in the set was the Hemp + Aloe Hydrating Foaming Facial Cleanser. It's a very soapy foaming cleanser but is also an oil-based cleanser. The hemp seed oil in this face wash combined with aloe makes for a hydrating cleanser that is great for sensitive skin as well as oily skin. Hemp seed oil is non pore clogging and is full of nourishing fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. I love to use it as part one in my double-cleanse regimen.

After cleansing, I use the Oh It's Natural Rosey Cheeks Rosewater Mist, made with all-natural rosewater. There are so many skincare benefits of rose; including anti-bacterial, PH-balancing, and anti-inflammatory properties. It makes rosewater the perfect blemish-fighting ingredient for even the most sensitive skin.

Also in the Face It All Naturally Kit is the Hemp All Over Moisturizing Oil. This has been one of my favorite facial oils, and I have tried so many different oils! I'm such a fan of hemp in skincare that I think it will be one of my must-have ingredients going forward. It's a completely non pore-clogging oil yet is so rich and moisturizing. High in Omega fatty acids and Vitamin E, hemp seed oil is so nourishing and moisturizing. Made with other nutrient-rich oils like Sunflower Oil, Safflower Oil, Sesame Seed Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, and olive oil; it gave my skin a healthy and beautiful glow after just a few uses.

Among the products that made the biggest difference, I have to give it up for Zemala Naturel. While they have so many all-natural beauty products that I knew I would love, I was very happy to get the Neem & Hemp Eczema Balm and the Oatmeal, Honey, and Neem Soothing Soap Bar for my son to try. He has severe eczema that has been acting up so badly this year. He gets so many sores on his skin from scratching, and no matter what I try, I always have to revert back to hydro-cortisone and antibacterial cream. While it is a temporary fix, I know that those products aren't helping to truly moisturize his skin, and they really aren't healthy to use long-term.

The Zemala Naturel eczema balm drastically cleared up his wounds in days and completely cleared them up after about a week. And though he usually needs up to four different products to heal, protect, moisturize, and properly soothe his eczema; the Zemala eczema balm paired with the soothing soap were all he needed. The neem and hemp oil in the balm provide nourishing and moisturizing, while chamomile helps to calm, and tea tree essential oil serves as an all-natural antibacterial ingredient.

In addition to the soothing soap, Zemala Naturel carries multiple all-natural soap bars and facial cleansing bars, like this Charcoal and Rose Clay Facial Bar. I'll be using the Charcoal and Rose Clay bar during May and will review it on Instagram.

For myself this month, I got to try some lip care from Zemala Naturel. I have quite the lip balm addiction, so I was happy to try one of their lip balms and two different lip masks. All three were incredibly moisturizing. The Minty Lips Lip Balm with CBD Oil is honestly one of the most moisturizing lip balms I've tried (and I've tried a lot!). Made with ultra-hydrating ingredients like shea butter, cocoa butter, and Vitamin E; it's no wonder this lip balm is so effective. The peppermint essential oil gives it a minty fresh scent and helps to condition the lips as well. For even more hydration, Zemala carries two lip masks. The Aloe Lip Mask is incredibly moisturizing with a hint of gloss. I love to use this one during the day as a rich conditioning lip gloss. For more of a balm or overnight lip mask, I love the Zemala Green Papaya Lip Mask with CBD Oil Extract.

Whether you struggle with dry skin, dry hair, or dry lips; you can find the perfect natural product to suit your needs in any of these wonderful beauty brands.
