How did we get into December so quickly? I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and have been enjoying all of the holiday sales! This is the first year in a long time that I've been on top of present shopping and have even managed to pick up quite a few things for myself too. I'll try to squeeze in a few extra unboxings on YouTube, and I have a lot of exciting facial care reviews planned for December. But first, here are a few of my faves from last month.
From Lumé Organic Infusions, one of my favorite all-natural beauty brands, I received a few of their brand new skincare products to try. Now, I mean it when I say that I really like each one of their previous products, and I definitely mean it when I say that I completely LOVE their new ones! I'll be reviewing their new Remove & Restore Cleanser and Makeup Remover along with several other facial care products from Lumé in a separate blog post, but I'll share my number one pick today, because I just have so much to say about it.
The new Lumé Balance Botanical Toner facial mist is by far my most favorite thing from their Outer Glow line. Rarely do facial products impress me right away. I usually have to give them time and consistent use to really notice a difference, but after just a few times using this toner mist, my skin appeared much more tight and smooth. Made with rose hydrosol, a powerful pH balancer, it helps regulate the production of sebum to bring balance and to restore the skin's natural barrier. Another skincare benefit of rose is that it is naturally antibacterial and makes for a very effective yet gentle way to treat and prevent blemishes.
The Neroli Hydrosol in the Lumé Balance Toner contains naturally-occurring alpha hydroxy acids (AHA’s) to assist in the cleansing process by naturally exfoliating. My favorite skincare benefits of Neroli Hydrosol are that it helps to boost collagen production, improves the appearance of surface lines and wrinkles, reduces hyper pigmentation, and minimizes sun damage and lifts sagging skin. I love a skincare product that offers both immediate and long-term benefits.
The astringent effects of Neroli also make it perfect for soothing inflammation. This toner really came to the rescue for me recently. I was testing out a new mask from a different brand, and I had a bad reaction to it (admittedly I left it on too long). My entire forehead had turned red, but with a few sprays of Balance, my skin was back to normal. Even if it's a little out of your price range to use regularly, it's definitely worth having around for special occasions or if you tend to have reactions to products and need to have an instant skin soother on hand.
One of my favorite body care products this month was from Nami Naturale, an organic and eco-conscious beauty brand which creates all-natural, plant-based skincare that incorporates the nourishing and therapeutic benefits of natural oils and pure essential oils. I really enjoyed their facial oil the month before (you can see my review in the previous beauty edit) and was more than happy to try their body butter as well.
The mission behind Nami Naturale is to provide luxurious yet accessible organic skincare that offers effective and therapeutic formulas and to do it in a way that is kind to the planet. For every product purchased at Nami Naturale, a tree is planted.
Their Melt to Nourish Luxury Body Butter contains some of my favorite moisturizing ingredients like organic shea butter and argan oil, sunflower oil, Vitamin E, squalane, and avocado oil. These cold-pressed oils retain their nutrients and have the added bonus of being combined with soothing botanicals like calendula and lemon balm.
With uplifting floral and citrus notes of May Change and Bergamot, it's also a wonderful aromatherapy experience for beating the winter blues. I like to keep mine on a side table where I work so I can use it as a hand cream throughout the day. It's a special little treat every time I use it!
If you have a skincare lover on your holiday shopping list, you can't go wrong with something from Nami Naturale. For a limited time, their gift sets come in their beautiful reusable wooden boxes while supplies last.
